Time seems to fly fast, as if it was just yesterday when we gathered in Illinois to celebrate our annual fiesta in honor of St. Michael the Archangel, our patron saint of Basey. Being the past Hermano of last year's celebration, I thank all member of the organization for helping us celebrate our patron nga benasaynon.
Our Basaynon Katig-Uban is strong and well, with our new officers and new vision for the future. With your help, big and snall, our organization can achieve success and realize our goals for the benefit of the people of Basey. We also have to ask our co-basaynon who have not participated to take a chance and join our annual celebration. We ask you to get involved in our joyous fiesta; the fiesta away from home.
For me, every Basaynon is the host in our patron, because fiesta is a tradition in our culture. Indeed, we are all grateful to Almighty God for the blessings that we receive in this foreign land. This occassion is also an opportunity for us to greet our friends and share our thoughts and good ideas.
Maupay nga Patron ha aton ngatanan!
